This setting, written for the St. Olaf Chapel Choir, was premiered at the 2012 Christmas Festival at St. Olaf. A beautiful weaving together of the traditional Spiritual and John Jacob Niles’ memorable tune, I Wonder as I Wander, provide a powerful opportunity for discovering our place in this world. The shift of mode in the last section of the work brings a sense of arrival–of home.
